Verified ReviewerComplaining about a customer representative
I spoke to Jenny from Honda Canada over the phone, and she was not helpful with my concerns. She did not listen to what I was saying and insisted that I needed to call Alberta Honda.
Jenny is not a good customer service representative for handling complaints. Honda Canada, you may want to review this person because Honda Canada is not providing its customers with excellent service if people behave like this Jenny.
- If this is resolve the they ate helpful
Preferred solution: Apology

Verified ReviewerWe have brought our 2024 Honda CRV in for service before it had 1000 KM now it has 10,000 and we are not getting any support. I would not recommend a Honda CRV to anyone who lives on a gravel road
We are not getting support from the dealership or Honda Canada. It has been months. Here are two pictures of what the car looks like inside after going six miles on gravel.
- Are in no hurry to resolve our issue
Preferred solution: We would like to trade it for something else
User's recommendation: Do not purchase if you live on a gravel road
Peeling paint
I own a white HRV - paint is literally chipping off and Honda - after sending me for estimates, pictures etc will do nothing about it. I have owned many Hondas before and this will be my last one.
Honda Canada wont do anything to help.
Quality of service and vehicles has declined. Do not buy.

Verified ReviewerNot satisfaction
My Honda Civic's passenger window switch broke after 50,000 km, although I never used the passenger window. This demonstrates the poor quality of the parts, which is unacceptable.
I used to drive a 2014 Honda CRV and did not have any problem with the windows for seven years. I'm reconsidering purchasing Honda cars as their quality seems to have declined.
Preferred solution: No.
User's recommendation: Try to find a better car company.

Verified ReviewerNo tire pressure sensors
I was shocked to find out that my brand new 2024 Honda Civic Sport does not come equipped with tire pressure sensors. I drove around on a flat tire for an unknown amount of time and ended up having to replace the tire - no surprise.
I wrote to Honda Canada, and they told me it is not a Canadian standard, only in the USA it is. Such a low-cost part to not include and to me, a necessary safety feature. I have friends with much older cars that have tire pressure sensors. I have owned 4 Acuras, all of which came with this feature.
This is my first Honda, and I am very disappointed. Shame!
Preferred solution: compensation for my tire

Issue with My Brand New Accord Touring Hybrid
I purchased my brand new Accord Touring Hybrid just a month ago, and within two weeks, I started having major problems with the steering. Its shocking to face such a serious issue with a brand-new vehicle, especially one I trusted to be reliable.
To make things worse, Ive been trying to reach Honda Canada through email and phone for weeks but received no response. The dealership informed me that its a manufacturing defect and advised replacing the entire unit.
This has really shaken my confidence in the vehicles reliability. Its frustrating not to get proper support, especially after investing in what I believed to be a trustworthy car.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues or lack of response? #HondaAccord #AccordHybrid #ManufacturingDefect #SteeringIssue #CustomerSupport #Reliability #TrustIssue

Verified ReviewerRecall parts not available
Hello, I am an Acura fan for the last 20 years and have had 4 Acura MDXs in my life. I recently made a deal for a 2022 Acura MDX Platinum Elite, but the Acura dealer refused to release the car because it has a passenger seat weight sensor recall.
The manager told me that we are waiting for this recall to be fixed, but the part is not available from Honda and it's been going on for the last 3 years. I wonder how this brand is not able to make recall parts. Such a shame. Please check your VIN if you are planning to make a deal for an Acura MDX or Honda.
Now, I am considering a Volkswagen Atlas or Infiniti QX 60. Thanks.

Concerns about Paint Quality on 2013 Honda Civic
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the paint quality on my 2013 Honda Civic. As a dedicated Honda owner, I have always appreciated the brand's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
However, I have encountered an issue that I feel needs to be addressed.
I also own a 2006 Toyota Corolla, and I have noticed that the paint on that vehicle remains in excellent condition, while the paint on my Honda Civic has started to chip and deteriorate in several areas.
Despite my efforts to maintain the vehicle properly, the paint quality has not lived up to my expectations or the standards I associate with Honda.
I have reached out to Honda regarding this issue, but unfortunately, I have been informed that it is not covered under warranty. I believe this is a manufacturing defect that warrants further investigation, as I have seen similar complaints among other Civic owners.
User's recommendation: Not at all
Poor customer support
I sent my car in for a possible blown head gasket, very low KM had 2nd and 3rd options and all say there should be no reason for this issue. My car has been with honda 3 week, no case manager assistant called 7 times, with the same answer, cas is still pending.
I and my family will NEVER buy another honda..do not but
User's recommendation: Do not buy a honda
Civic colour
I like civic but black colour quality is very low poor .
I buy month ago black colour scratches looks very bad
User's recommendation: Don't buy black colour
Family of Honda since 1990
We are a family if Honda owners since 1990. My last vehicle is a 2007 Civic.
The full exhaust including the cat convertor needed to be replaced as recommended. I was hoping Honda Canada would offer some assistance considering the over $3000. Estimate but they just dismissed my request.
Considering I had never reached out for any type of assistance this was a big disappointment. They obviously do not value loyal customers
User's recommendation: Don't bother. Greed over loyalty

Verified ReviewerPaint Flaking Off
We noticed that the paint is flaking off our 2019 Honda CRV. I have contacted the dealership and Steve, who is responsible for warranty, said to take pictures and contact Honda Canada and suggested that I buy primer and paint and fix it myself.
My retort was did I make or paint this vehicle NO.
Contacted Honda Canada, got someone who spoke very little English and forced me back to the Coldbrook NS dealership.
Have been dealing with Mike, Manager, and he keeps telling me he hasn't been able to get through to anyone and has the same problem as I do where communication with us difficult because of the language barrier.
I contacted Kar Lun Wong
Senior Customer Mediation Specialist at Honda Canada on May 1st and continue to call every couple of days leaving voicemail messages with no response from him either.
This paint flaking has been brought to their attention since April 4 and I still have received no response from the dealership or Honda Canada.
I paid a lot of money for this vehicle, as well as the maximum of Warranty. How do they consider there company is providing excellent customer service when I am getting nothing!
Tried posting pictures but this site says try again later.

Verified ReviewerTransmission failure of Honda CRV 2016
Be aware users of Honda CRV!!! The transmission of a 2016 Honda CRV failed suddenly on a busy highway and let the family in danger, narrowly escaped from a nasty collision. However, Honda Canada is reluctant to take any initiative to highlight those potential risky issue to customers.
- Reluctant to highlight the issue to the public
Preferred solution: Compensation to cover up the cost involved to replace the transmission and family
User's recommendation: Customers Be Aware of this issue, it may happen to anyone at any time
Engine toast after 50,000km after dealer added too much oil
Cannot get any response from Acura and Honda customer relations after a service technician at Acura Pickering overfilled the oil in my engine. This caused the oil to foam and hampered the ability of the oil to properly lubricate the engine.
Now, I am faced with a $10,000 - $26,000 bill for the replacement of an engine with only 50,000 km on it. The dealer will not accept responsibility, and Acura/Honda customer relations are not responding in hopes I will go away. No one other than the dealer has ever serviced my vehicle.
Why pay top dollar and go to a dealership for service when they can damage your vehicle and then charge you to repair it? Acura/Honda Canada appears to *** this.
- Nice vehicles
- Poor customer support if it involves a dealership
- Dealerships not accepting responsibility for their mistakes
- Stalling tactics they hope you will go away
Preferred solution: A replacement engine with similar mileage. It is out of warranty but the dealer caused the issue so the replacement cost should either be covered or greatly reduced.
User's recommendation: Double check dealer work. Don't put your faith in Acura/Honda customer relations to do the correct thing.

Just felt ripped off. They charged me a $1000 markup on parts, and they billed me for 8 hours of service on something that shouldn't have taken more than 3 hours. My car wasn't in for more than 3 hours either.
